I Wish I Learned These 3 Posture Hacks YEARS AGO
These are 3 movements that I have really enjoyed implementing myself and working on with clients to help improve posture, boost energy levels, relieve back pain and feel more balance in the body. These are relatively unconventional moves, yet all 3 have been much more helpful than simply stretching tightness endlessly.

    Stink test experiment: please test...wash your hiking clothes (t-shirts, pants, socks underwear, hats scarfs etc whatever you shall be wearing, including shoes). Once done re soke everything in a large sink, bath etc in warm water which contains a good amount of baking soda for at least 30 min. Rinse. Spin in a washing machine, and leave to dry or use tumble dryer until dry. Before you go hiking put your feet in a small tub of water containing baking powder... And also put some baking powder under your arm pits etc. after some time say 10 min..dry your self etc...the idea is that baking powder is a natural germ killer and deodoriser. If there is no bacteria present on your clothes and self you should not stink.. at least not to quickly.. then go on your hike... Please test for how much longer you stay stink free.. thanks a fan from the tiny island of Malta

    My recovery experience after having a painful summer of PF: I was originally blaming it on the lack of insert in a high quality set of shoes as a cause, I later understood it as a buildup of Lymph fluid in the soft pad behind my toes. The fluid if not properly cleaned out by effective fluid draining hardens/calcifies which signals the pain to the pain detection system. After watching the methodology of conventional and oriental medicine in "fixing" the problem i realized that by simply massaging the 'calcification' . which felt like a washboard at first, but it very quickly broke down the hardening and within a two week period the PF was gone. I would simply, with my hands perform my own version of shiatsu. I have not had any of the pain of PF for a few years now but I have learned the importance of general activity in order to keep the Lymph fluids flowing as they rely on tissue around the fluid ducts to move the fluid up through the system. It is related to the buld up of lactic acid after strenuous activity. This is why performance athletes get massages to cleanout the lactic acid. Related to this is the fact that a lot of our bodies recovery processes work only/better during sleep. Today I mostly monitor my feet to see/feel if there is a backup of fluid/hardening and I simply as I am putting on my sox spend 30- 60 seconds to do a quick massage to loosen the ball of my feet and i have to do some minimalist for of leg exercise such as knee-bends and heel-toe rocking to keep the Lymph system active. Best wishes Thanks for the Clothing tips

    "Leave no trace" was the first thing I learned when embarking on a lifelong passion for backpacking and enjoying the wilderness. Everest has become a bucket list item for people who have more money than sense not a cherished destination for serious mountaineers. People who have never had a lifelong passion for climbing wake up one day and decide they are going to climb the highest mountain in the world. And most of these people have never been introduced to the concept of Leave No Trace. They get that selfie at the top and that's all they care about. The Tibet side of the mountain requires a person to have an actual resume of climbing experience in order to get a permit to climb. Yes, you are, unfortunately, shouting into the void. Unfortunately this once beautiful mountain has become a trash pile for the wealthy. This is really a problem that needs more discussion. At some point it's going to become more of an embarrassment to have that selfie at the top of Everest and no other evidence of a true passion for climbing, such as selfies at other peaks that demonstrate actual technical climbing skills.

    I had loved zero shoes but I got ticked off at their return policy. There dressy shoes I had first tried a 6 which was too small so then I tried the 7 and it was the same fit as the 6 so I asked for a refund since that shoe style was not sized right and there policy if you aren't doing an exchange verses a refund vuou don't get the full purchase price back. I felt it was their fault on this shoe which was not sized right. Therefore won't do business with them any longer

Also props to the channel creator for talking with him and trying to hold his weight in a conversation with a very passionate person.

    I learned about water the hard way many years ago before filters. All we had were chemical sanitizer but that wasn’t my problem. My problem was up several miles on a ridge line when me and the pup ran out of water on a hot summer day. Nothing could be done but to turn around and head back down. It sucked. I brought more water bottles from then on.

And noticed that also hurts my left side as it comes inward but not my right?. What does this mean? What is wrong with me? Why is the left side so much higher when i cross the ankle over and why does rotating kneed inward hurt a bit

    I always hear that protein is satiating but when I eat lean animal protein I feel starving after and its almost impossible to make it go away. Now if I eat fatty meat like ribeye or flanken ribs I feel happy, full, and zen in my whole body. Only carbs give me that "Full" feeling in my stomach, but it's not satisfying or comfortable.

    I'd say don't do it unless you have zero kinetic chain/structural issues. The foot gloves are better if you must go barefoot, because the idea behind bare foot is that you grip the ground by sprawling your toes out, however the sole of the shoe still prevents that contact you'd get from true barefoot training. Plus, regular shoes actually prime your foot to strike in a safer toe position and absorb impact more effectively, then the flat open pancake shape of a barefoot shoe. Get a shoe with a low drop, reduce cushion slowly and train barefoot frequently. barefoot shoes are gimmicky trash, and made my knee injury way worse by promoting bad foot striking with a sloppy fit. i tried three brands, and 2 different sizes in two of them, none of them as good as being actually barefoot, and in situations where I need shoes, the kinvara's work well.

    so which minimalist shoes are good for casual and every day wear and if your foot form sucks? a shoe that cushions minimally while letting you feel your feet and slowly rebuild them in them in the process. Im looking for shoes that encompass those ideas for these themes: Luxury wear Casual every day wear Hiking and running/sprinting/long walking would appreciate any helpful links or company names Thank you

    do you wear socks with them? I would think that defeats the purpose of barefoot, No?

    • @ChaseMountains
      @ChaseMountains 5 днів тому

      I do wear socks with them yes. The purpose is to allow the foot to move, rotate, flex and splay the toes out. So ideally wear toe socks for that reason but other than that socks don’t restrict the feet in movement

Also added yoga 5 days a week. (Lots of full body stretching and breathing exercises). What more can I add to my 7 day schedule. I can jog slowly continuously for only 500 meters. But without much weight on me.
